Alice True (McGee) Bair, 101, of Tipp City, Ohio beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother transitioned from this life to eternity Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in her home at Randall Residence. She was born March 4, 1919 in New Philadelphia, Ohio the daughter of Emmett and Margaret (Gilmore) True. Alice was the eldest of four daughters. Shortly after graduation and during World War II, she went to work at Patterson Field in Fairborn, Ohio in the transportation department. Alice later transferred to Hickam Field in Honolulu, Hawaii where she stationed until the end of the war and where she met her first husband, Edmond McGee. She left the workforce for a time to raise her children, but later returned to work in Ohio State University’s postal department where she developed her passion for the Buckeyes. Alice loved and embraced new adventures and learning experiences, traveling, reading, volunteering, and keeping up with friends and family. Up until recently she regularly attended history classes at the Senior Center in Vandalia, services at the United Methodist Church, Red Hat events, Ohio State football, Bingo, and outings at the Randall Residence. Alice leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Florence Butler of Florida and Nora Boss of Arizona; son, Doug (Elsa) McGee of San Diego, California; daughters, Alexis (Bill) Duff of Tipp City, Ohio; Claudia (Rick) Swift of Las Vegas, Nevada; Betty Bidwell of Reston, Virginia, and Francine (Bobby) Parsons of Kernersville, North Carolina; step-daughter, Sharon (Chris) Rose of Ashtabula, Ohio; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephew, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Bair; son, Gail McGee; step-son, George Bair; and sister, Cora Menapace. 2 Timothy 4:7-8 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, YOUR LEGACY LIVES ON. A Memorial service may be held held at a later date and announced at the discretion of the family.
