Anthony Wayne McGee, 65, of Springfield, Ohio, a beloved father, uncle and friend passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a remarkable knack for kindness. Anthony was born on July 30, 1958 in Xenia, Ohio to Donald L. McGee, Sr. and Joyce Ann (Porter) Captain.
He graduated and joined the United States Marine Corps. The last 24.5 years he was employed at Collins Aerospace.
Anthony leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Alise McGee (Jonathan), Andre McMahon, Sr., and Tamika McMahon all of Springfield, Ohio; stepchildren, Marques White, Sr. of Springfield, Ohio, and Karla White of West Palm Beach, Florida; brother, Donald McGee of New Castle, Delaware; sisters, LaDonna McGee of Dayton, Ohio, and June Nooks (McGee) of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren: Idaziah Rhodes, Jonathan Rhodes, Jr., JaMani Wyatt, Jayson Hickman, Andreah, Andre, Jr., Naylia McMahon, and Marques White, Jr. all of Springfield, Ohio, Breann and Genicka White of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Korey H. McCrary of West Palm Beach, Florida; seven great-grandchildren of Springfield and Cincinnati, Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; Terri McMahon, the mother of Alise, Andre, and Tamika all of Springfield, Ohio; dearest uncle and aunt, Gerald, Sr. and Betty Porter of Xenia, Ohio; and special friends: Ronnie and Joe Boyd, John Kidd, Deacon Rickey Jones, Jerome Hargrow, and Bill Dotson.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dana Porter and Michelle Walker (Porter); and his significant other, Beverly (Bev) White.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and Words of Comfort from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
