Bessie Matilda Lambert Bush

Bessie Matilda (Lambert) Bush, 82, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 15, 2019. She was born March 12, 1937 in Bladen, Ohio to the late Charles and Mary (Halley) Lambert. She was a graduate of Mercerville High School and attended Sinclair College. Bessie was employed by Miami Valley Hospital and Goodwill Industries (where she won the Queen) of Dayton. She worked at the handicap unit of Hannan Trace Elementary and Meals on Wheels. Bessie also assisted her husband, Donald Bush, in the family business of repairing and reselling used appliances. Bessie was so loving and loyal to all of her family. She was always supportive whether it was being there at hospitals or at homes where she would often spent days or weeks at a time. She leaves to cherish her memory: son, Robert Bush; loving sister, Nancy (Lambert) Matlock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Special thank you to her Home Health Care aides, Savanah and Sherry, who went above and beyond the call of duty. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bush, of 51 years; brothers, Roy, Kenneth, Charles, and Noal; and sister, Ethel (Lambert) Cooper. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in the Dayton National (VA) Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
