Bob Crawford, Jr., 53, passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 at 6:15 a.m. He was born September 13, 1965 to Bob Crawford, Sr. and Virgie Taylor in Greenfield, Illinois. He was most proud of his two sons, Egan Crawford and Finley Crawford. He missed them dearly and mentioned them often. Bob was visited by his two nieces, Marwa and Anna; as well as, his great nephew, Malcom. He was extremely grateful they took time out of their lives to see him. Bob grew up on a tobacco farm and worked it from the age of nine. He was extremely athletic and said his High School coach was his mentor. Bob entered the Army at the age of seventeen in 1983. He served honorably for three years and he served overseas. Bob loved to cook and feeding people, especially family, was his greatest pleasure. He loved to talk about his many adventures across the world, his homes in Hawaii and Alaska are two of his favorite places he lived. Bob was especially close to his late sister with whom he helped raise her children. He enjoyed playing Destiny on his PlayStation 4 and loved first person shooter games. Bob became especially close to his great nephew, Malcom, and he loved playing the game online with him. He spent his last three months with his longtime companion, Terri K Vagedes. She unconditionally loved him for his gentle nature and his witty sense of humor. Bob served in Germany and he and Terri spoke German with one another. The nurses at the V.A. Hospice said, "Bob and Terri are a love story with no ending." "Ich liebe dicht Bobalooo." Bob was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Crawford, Sr.; mother, Virgie Taylor Crawford; brother; Sherman Crawford; sister, Tina Crawford. Bob joins our beloved family in heaven with his Lord Jesus Christ. Arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
