Brenda Joyce (Clements) Hardiman, 79, of Pickerington, Ohio received her crown on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born in Augusta, Georgia on June 11, 1943 to the late James Edward Clements and Ophelia Truss Clements.
She was raised in Springfield, Ohio. Brenda graduated from Springfield High School and attended Ohio University for one year. She completed Medical Technology training at Mercy Medical Center and worked as a Medical Technologist for 33 years. Brenda met Elbert Hardiman at Springfield High School. They were married at Mt. Zion Baptist Church on December 29, 1962 and were married for 57 years. Brenda was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a diligent and dedicated worker of several organization: Missionary Circle #9, the Trustee Wives, the Decorating Committee, Intercessory Prayer Group, and a youth support worker.
Brenda leaves in love two children, Ellen (Terry) Hardiman-Hodges of Cleveland, Ohio and E. LaMont (Shawnya) Hardiman of Pickerington, Ohio; six grandchildren: Tamira L. Hodges of Cleveland, Ohio, Evan L. Hardiman of Chicago, Illinois, Mikaela Y. Hardiman of Chicago, Illinois, Ellari L. Hodges of Cleveland, Ohio, Ethan J.(Desiree) Hardiman of Chicago, Illinois, and Elyse L. Hardiman of Pickerington, Ohio; one great-granddaughter, Eden Bailey Hardiman of Chicago, Illinois; two brothers, James Clements of Seattle, Washington, and Allan (Betty) Clements of Southfield, Michigan; one sister, Suzanna (Robbie) Brookins of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters-in law, Trudy Tillman, Shelia Dixon, and Christie Hardiman; and one brother-in-law, Ellis (Kyra) Hardiman, Jr. all of Springfield, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Elbert Hardiman; father-in-law, Ellis Hardiman, Sr.; mother-in-law, Naomi Hardiman; brother-in-law, Howard Hardiman; and sister-in-law, Myrna Embry.
Visitation will be held from 2:30 p.m. until the time of Memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
