Brenda Joyce Bonner (Laws), 72, of Cincinnati, Ohio was called home on Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born in Attalla, Alabama on June 30, 1950 to Rosie Lee Rice and the late Franklin D. Wilson.
We lay Brenda to rest, but she will never be forgotten because she impacted so many lives. She was stubborn as they come, but caring for others was everything to her and she had a heart of gold, a heartwarming smile and laugh. Brenda lead a very private life, but enjoyed spending time with family whom she was very protective of. Her caring nature lead her to a long time career as a private duty nurse for the elderly and disabled. Cooking was one of her many passions and cakes and pies were her specialties.
Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memories: her mother, Rosie Rice; children, Chalet “Granny” Bonner, Larnita “Plute” Moses, and Sylvester “Tyrone” Laws; siblings: Michael Rice, Theresa Rice, Patricia Milhouse, Carla Martin, Keith Little, Forando Little, Franklin Wilson, Jr., Marilyn Foster, Mary Wilson, and Floretta Edwards; grandchildren: Forenza Bonner, Nichelle Bonner, Ketra Bonner, Knice Bonner, Marvin (Zi) Morris, and J’moni Bonner; special friend and cousin, Duchess Camilla Hazel, and Margo Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Franklin D. Wilson; and brothers: Wilbert Bonner, Joseph Rice, Jr., and Larry Little.
Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023 in James Temple COGIC (Annex Chapel), 1119 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
