Catherine L. Owens-Hager

Catherine Lynne Owens-Hager, 58, of Fairborn, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2023. She was born in Xenia, Ohio on August 29,1964, the daughter of James Joseph and Lesta (Reaper) Nugent.

Catherine had an open door policy: All whom walked through the door were welcomed and became a part of her family. Catherine's greatest joy in life was being a Nana to her grandchildren. She would enjoy having everyone over and making anything into a family gathering, such as, cookouts, holidays, or any random celebration. No one was to be left without a place to go in her eyes. Catherine loved traveling and camping with her family as a child. She carried on her love of camping to her children, sharing many camping trips. One of our greatest gifts was sitting by a fire listening to the stories she'd share.

Catherine leaves behind to cherish her loving memory: sons, Joseph Owens (Jamie Frost), and David Hager; daughters, Tara Owens and Jessica Owens; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; father, James Joseph Nugent; sisters, Holly Noble, Stephanie (Clark) Christopher, and Leslie Nugent; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brooke Owens; mother, Lesta (Reaper) Nugent; and husband, Jerry Hager.

The family would like to give their deepest and most generous thanks to her personal caregiver, Dami. They cannot express how much you meant to Mrs. Catherine, as well as, her to you. They give their upmost thanks and appreciation to you and wish you the best in all future endeavors.

A Celebration of Life will be held by the family for Catherine at a later date. This page will be updated and shared again at that time.
