Charles Lee Taylor

Charles Lee Taylor, 65, of Springfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday July 8, 2018 in Soin Medical Center. He was born August 3, 1952 in Urbana Ohio, a son of the late Wilbur Taylor, Sr. and Joanna (Weaver) Taylor. Charles is survived by his wife Diana Taylor; three daughters, Tyanne (Brent) Clark, Guyia Wilson, and Donna (Divine) Bradley; two sons, Charles Taylor and Tony Wilson; thirteen grandchildren, Germaine, GeLaya, Gabriel, Lil Chuck, Maxwell, Deasia, GeMiah, Morgan, Ryzon, Madeleine, Maximus, Chloe, and Princeton; one great granddaughter, Germanie; a brother, Wilbur Taylor, Jr.; a sister, Tonya Amos; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was a member of the Springfield West Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. He was a remarkable man full of life and charisma. He had a huge heart and a kind, inviting smile. Charles never met a stranger and impacted peoples lives in so many ways. He was very encouraging to those around him often putting others needs before his own, even in his last days. He was a very hard worker all his life and even after retiring from Navistar, he continued to work and started his own business, Taylor Reconstruction, often saying he couldnt sit still and relax. Charles had numerous projects going on at home, inside and out and could build and repair literally anything. He had a love and passion for restoring old cars and most of his spare time was spent in his garage. Charles also had a gift for writing and storytelling, traveling for film festivals promoting his screenplays and even published a book, The Redbone Chronicles. People would be mesmerized by his gift of detail and making you feel like you were right there in his stories. One of his most important things he loved to do was researching and preparing for lessons and talks as a Jehovahs Witness. Charles returned to school for many things but his most favorite was receiving a certificate as an Industrial Robot Technician from Sinclair Community College. He was an incredible person with enormous talent and Charles, Big Chuck, Papaw, Uncle Chuck, Chucky as his friends and family knew him, impacted everyone he met and will be missed terribly by many. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1601 Innisfallen Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506.
