Claren L. Eberhardt

October 15, 1955 — February 7, 2022

Claren L. Eberhardt, better known as Twinkle, 66, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday February 7, 2022. She was born on October 15, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan. Claren grew up in the Madisonville community, located in Cincinnati, OH. She graduated from Withrow High School in 1973. During, as well as, after high school, Claren was forced to face some traumatic experiences; including the untimely death of her birth mother, Ella Louise Lasley. She decided to go live in Los Angeles, California with her older sister Mindy, who had recently become an airline stewardess. She started working as a nurse aid to save a little money before she moved back. At work, she met a nurse named Vicki Davis. They got along wonderfully and she found her very interesting. Vicki was a proud member of New Life Temple Church and would share things about the word of God with her. One day, Pastor Ralph Godfrey, Sr. and Sis. Mary Jane Coleman, came by to sit on her porch and talked with her for hours. She loved the feeling everyone brought. On July 2, 1978, Claren accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior, and joined Harvest Time for Christ - New Live Temple Church. She remained a dedicated member. Down through the years, Claren exercised her membership in a variety of ways: singing in the Music Ministry, being a Solid Rock Counselor, Evangelism, working in The Book Nook (church gift shop), involvement with Church beautification (cleaning, planting flowers, etc.), Share & Care Ministry, being a Care Group Leader, participated in the Welcome Committee, and more. She also graduated with an Associate Degree of Biblical Studies, from the NLT Bible College & Leadership Institute, in June 2020. Claren had a true knack for arts and crafts and a heart for ministering to the lost. She carried her creative gifts into entrepreneurship by establishing her home-based business, Womanly Enhancements Gifts and More. Then proceeded on to opening a small consignment shop in Madisonville; Launched by Womanly Enhancements. In her shop, she would not only welcome customers but also shaped an atmosphere for leading people to Christ. Once her consignment shop unfortunately closed, Claren continued to be a seed planted in the Madisonville community. She was a Director at the previous Madisonville Arts and Cultural Center (MAAC), now called Artsville. She was also a previous member of the Madisonville Community Council. Due to the loving life she lived and the number of lives she touched, her passing has brought a heavy heart to many. Courageously pressing through her life's trials and tribulations, she still managed to deeply love and care for her family, as well as, extend herself to others. She is so very special and we want to make sure her legacy is eloquently remembered. She leaves to cherish her memories husband of 14 years, James L. Eberhardt; children, Brittany T. Jones and Dana M. Jones; granddaughter, Layla A. McKenrick; siblings, Joseph Glisson, Jr., Mindy A. Owes, and Gregory Glisson (Felicia Glisson); nephews, Joseph M. Glisson, Sr. (Harmony Glisson), Nicholas Owes, Tyler Glisson, and Evan Glisson; plus a whole host of other loving relatives and friends. Claren was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Glisson, Sr. and Anna Glisson (birthed by Ella Louise Lasley). Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM with service to follow at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at New Life Temple, 4836 Ward Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227.
