Curtis Wayne Spahr

Curtis Wayne Spahr, 81, of Springfield, Ohio peacefully passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with heart disease. He was born on November 5, 1939 to Phillip and Annabelle Spahr in Osborn (now Fairborn), Ohio. After Curtis graduated from Fairborn High School, he attended Ohio University in Athens and went to work for M & M Savings and Loan in Springfield, Ohio. In 1962 he married Cinda Sue Slagle of Enon, Ohio, and went on to have two children, Todd and Scott. Upon retirement, Curtis and Cinda spent the next decade traveling the country in their beloved RV, hunting mushrooms, and hiking the canyons of the southwest; eventually, they settled in Arizona. Curtis leaves to cherish his memory: brother, Phillip Dennis Spahr of Fairborn, Ohio; sister, Jane Coatney of Centerville, Ohio; sons, Todd Spahr and Scott Jumawan-Spahr both of Springfield, Ohio; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eric Spahr; and wife, Cinda Spahr. Private services will be held at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
