Daisy Mae (Wingo) Woods, 94, took her flight in peace to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2020. She was born on July 7, 1925 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Clifton and Daisy Wingo. She accepted and received our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Daisy was a resident of Dayton, Ohio for the past 10 years, while in the care of her loving and devoted, family: Sheila, Ricardo, Tammy, grandchildren, nieces and nephew. She retired from Wittenberg University and Dresser Air Tool. Daisy loved and adored her family and they adored her. She also loved good food, gardening and sitting on the deck soaking up the sunshine. Daisy loved talking on the phone, especially to her son whom she affectionately called Ricky, on a daily basis. She was the life of the party and taught us how to do the Daisy Stomp. She was a very stylish woman who enjoyed shopping and beautiful jewelry. Throughout her 94-year-lifetime journey, she was our go-to person for wisdom. Daisy leaves to cherish her memory: her devoted son, Ricardo (Tammy) Vance; daughter, Sheila D Vance-Ballard; her beloved grandchildren, Ricardo M. Vance, Jr., Ashley N. Vance and Derek R. Vance; great-grandchildren, Treauhn D. William and Helana N. Vance; beloved nieces and nephew, Coretta Thomas, Rehanna Thomas, Shirley Thomas, Tamara Ward, Renee Thomas, and Bryan Hall (LaShauna); her Middletown Family; two special love ones, Charles Averette and Shirley Clayborn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Daisy Wingo; brothers, SY, Clifford (Snookey) and Earl (Jodey) Wingo. The family of Daisy Mae (Wingo) Woods would like to express their deepest appreciation to family and friends. A special acknowledgement to her great-niece, Rehanna Thomas; the nursing staff on the ninth floor and intensive care of Miami Valley Hospital, the staff of Ohio Hospice of Dayton; Jocelyn Roper, District Superintendent of the West Ohio Conference; and Elder John Buffington, Church of God Sanctified, Dayton, Ohio.
