Danielle Walker-Johnson

February 12, 1984 — July 1, 2022

Danielle Yvonne Walker-Johnson, 38, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. On February 12, 1984, she was gifted from God to Shunda and Dale Johnson, Sr. She accepted Christ at an early age at her family’s church, First New Shiloh Baptist Church, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Michael K. Cash. Danielle was active in youth ministry and toured the city with “The Children Crusading for Christ”. She loved to sing, act and work with the youth. Danielle was a Girl Scout Brownie and Daisy. She embodied their three pillars of leading with courage, leading with confidence, and leading with character. Danielle was educated within the Cincinnati Public School system where she obtained her G. E. D. She spent several years at the School of Creative and Performance Arts where she studied voice presentation and drama. Danielle was also a member of the “Tribe” gospel choir and toured with them frequently spreading the message of God’s love. She worked in the health care field and studied to become a Phlebotomist and Nursing Assistant. Danielle also earned her STNA certificate. She loved music and reading mature romance novels. Danielle had a very adventurous spirit and was always excited about trying new things. She was more than the life of the party; Danielle was the party. She loved hanging out with family and friends until her health began to fail her. Although her childhood nickname was Zanaboo, Danielle took on a few other personas. Strawberry Kiwi was her chat name and everybody knew Peachez, who came straight out of Bronx, NY. Danielle would often live up to her Peachez alter ego, following through in words and actions. Danielle would give you her own shoes if you stood in need. That’s how compassionate she was. But Danielle also had a warrior in her who would never run or back down from a fight. If in trouble, you wanted Peachez on your side. Even during her illness if you called, she’d be there ready to do a drive-by with you. (She inherited that audaciousness from her aunts--all of them.) If you had an ally in Danielle, you had a friend for life no matter how much distance or time had passed. She didn’t let much bother her and was not afraid to take risks. Danielle was a trendsetter, developing her own style in hair and fashion, “boobs up!”. She was a very private person, however, she’d quickly share her testimony if there was a need. She loved her family. Her trio: Dyoni, Rico, and Josiah were always by her side. Her favorite pastime was kicking it on the front porch with her siblings talking smack. Danielle leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Dyoni; two sons, Rico and Josiah; parents, Shunda and Dale, Sr.; sister, Dashia; two brothers, Dale, Jr., and Deiondre;  grandmother, Gloria; and a host of family and friends to carry on her memories. She was preceded in death by her baby girl, Royalty Mona’e; her great-grandparents who adored her, Gladys and William Mullins; grandparents, Emma Johnson and Charles Thompson; and her niece, Aarionna Nikole. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. with service to follow at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at First New Shiloh Baptist Church, 710 S. Fred Shuttlesworth, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Arrangements entrusted to KINLEY Funeral Home & Arrangement Center.
