Darren Gail Davis, 59, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023. He was born in Springfield on July 23, 1964, a son of Marilyn Melvina Davis.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; highly intelligent, and enjoyed photography. Darren was a 1982 graduate of Springfield North High School. After watching the movie "Stripes", Darren joined the U.S. Army to serve his country. He married his high school sweetheart, Deanna (Wheat) Davis, in 1998.
Darren leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 25 years, Deanna Davis; three children: Lauren Davis, Courtney Elizabeth (Davis) Porter and her husband, Brad, and Brandon Chase Davis; stepdaughter, Amanda (McCann) Laser, her husband, Matthew, and daughter, Lucy; five grandchildren: Anthony "AJ" Caudill, Keegan Porter, Kenzie (Lunar) Porter, Konnor Porter, and Arrianna (Porter) McClendon; great-grandsons, Kyson and Elijah Porter; first wife, Cindy (Cordle) Minix; best friend, Steven Cook; special cousins: Veronica Smith, Robin Davis, and Kelli Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and cousin, Eric S. Davis.
