David Wayne Nelson

David Wayne Nelson, 62, of Springfield Ohio passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the care of Hospice. He was born October 1, 1958 in Cabarrus, North Carolina to Truett G. Nelson and Bonita Elaine Hensley. David was the middle of three boys. He spent most of his life in the upstate area of South Carolina where he worked in millwork and an automotive manufacturing facility. David was an avid Nascar fan and spent a lot of time in front of a TV watching his sport of choice. David leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Amber Nelson of Charleston, SC and Kellie Nelson of Six Mile SC; brother, Rick Nelson of Boone NC; two grandchildren, Nate and Lydia Nelson of Charleston SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; brother, Tim Nelson; and his dog, Gizmo. There will be a small family gathering in North Carolina. Whether David accepted it or acknowledged it or not, he was loved by his family. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
