Dominique Latris Washington

Dominiqu Latris Washington, 39, went to rest in her Heavenly Father's arms March 16, 2018 in her sleep. She said in her own words, 'I want to find that peace that Jesus has promised. I use to only imagine the joy and peace, but now I understand and know that Jesus is our peace.' (Ephesians 2:14) Dominiqu is survived by her family who loved her dearly. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Jaylen, Jana and Dominiqu Mitchell, and their father, Jason Mitchell; mother, Teresa Ellison and father, Franklin Ellison; sister, Kameron Washington, neice, MyKalia Lawson; grandmother, Doris Ellison; aunts, Marie (Charles) Palmer, Dorothy, Christine, and Patricia Ellison; uncles, Nathaniel, Phillip Washington; great uncle, Julius Boyd; great aunts, Elizabeth Boyd and Clara Williams; special cousins, Jordan Washington, Derick Palmer and Daryl Palmer, and a host of other cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ida Mae McConnell; grandfather, John Ellison, Nathaniel Washington, Sr., Edward McConnell, Sr.; uncle, Bruce Washington; cousins, Florence Boyd, Daniell Perisoll and aunt, Dorothy and uncle, Frank Harris. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Highlight Baptist Church in Springfield, Ohio with visitation one hour prior to service. Final arrangements entrusted to the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
