Donna Sue Collins, 54, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati on July 14, 1967 to James and Cassie Collins. She graduated from Western Hills High School and later attended The University of Cincinnati. Donna was the loving mother of two children: son, Shaun Collins; daughter, Kara Gilbert; and one stepdaughter, Cheryl Fisher. Donna worked for The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County for 34 years, before retiring. She started at the Bond Hill Branch while in high school, later transferring to the main branch in the Acquisition department where she stayed until retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Cheryl, Shaun, and Kara; loving granddaughters, Ashanti Collins and Stephanie Fisher; grandsons, Kendall Fisher and Tyriq Fisher; two brothers, Robert Cole (Michelle) and James Collins; two sisters, Cheryl Cole and Sheila Collins; aunt, Julia Hollis (Fred); nieces, Katherine “Kitty” Moore, Vanessa Beasley, Janita Cole, Melinda Johnson, and Jane Gibson; nephews, James “Jimmy” Cole, and Shawn Cole; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Donna was preceded in death by her father, James; and mother, Cassie; brother, James Cole; and sister, Dorothy Scruggs. In her passing, Donna’s children honored her wish to give the gift of life and become an organ and tissue donor. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at James Temple Church of God in Christ (Annex Chapel), 1119 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209.
