Ellsworth J. "Sonny" Harris, Jr., 79, of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was born October 18, 1944 to the union of Ellsworth J. Harris, Sr. and Almeda M. (Brenner) Harris.
He was an avid fisherman, Bengals, Reds, and Buckeyes fan.
Ellsworth leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Joseph D. Harris, and Nathaniel J. (Connie) Harris; grandson, Dalton Harris; sisters, Jean (Harris) Spreher and Barbara (Harris) Williams; brother, Russell Harris and sister-in-law, Sue Harris; sister, Lela (Harris) Sievers and brother-in-law, Howard Sievers, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, James and Lynn Fankle; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lynn A. Harris (Fankle); sister, Dorothy (Harris) Moore and brother-in-law, James Moore; sister, Margaret (Harris) Willis and brother-in-law, James David Willis; brother-in-law, Douglas Spreher, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Daniel Fankle.
