Emmett Wayne Hatcher

February 23, 1956 — July 3, 2018

Emmett Wayne Hatcher, 62, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 23, 1957. He was the sixth of seven children born to the late Thomas J. Hatcher Sr. and Louise Wellington Hatcher. His parents and five siblings; Mack Shannon, Ann Hatcher Roberson, Cleophes (Cleo) Hatcher, Erwin (Spud) Hatcher, and Thomas Hatcher preceded him in death. Right after graduating from Woodward High School, Wayne joined the United States Army & Reserves where he served his country from 1976 through 1980. In 1978 he married Patty Hudson and out of their union they had two sons, Shawn D. Hatcher and Mario D. Hatcher. One thing Wayne loved to do was to get together with family and friends to have cookouts, sit around to talk or just enjoying each others company. Wayne leaves to celebrate and to cherish his memories: his two sons, Shawn and Mario Hatcher; granddaughter, Tatiana Mabrey; brothers, Eugene Hatcher, Wanless (Essie) Hatcher; sister-in-law, Eliza Hatcher; long time best friend, Dusty Rhodes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Heights Art Center, Annex Building located at 6620 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45213. Final arrangements entrusted to the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
