Eric Lamarr Portis, Sr., 52, of Indianapolis, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 15, 2023. He was born on January 25, 1971 in Springfield, Ohio to Michael Thompson, deceased, and Jackie Tolliver. He was reared by Edward "Rene" Tolliver, deceased.
He was a self-employed contractor who enjoyed remodeling houses. Eric was talented, funny, hardworking, and gifted. He was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off of his own back. Eric was loved and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Eric leaves to mourn his passing: his two sons, Eric Portis, Jr., and Derrick Portis; three sisters, Nicole Portis, Jackie (Sherman) Lattimore, Robyn (Sidney) Maultsby; one brother, Rene Tolliver; grandchild, NyRie Portis; half-siblings, Tandra Thompson and Craig Peterson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at El Bethel Temple, 2049 Clifton Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506.
