Ethel Lee Gaston

Ethel Lee Gaston, 70, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 13, 1950 in Lincoln, Alabama a daughter of Joe and Ethel (English) Gaston. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved playing bingo and listening to Lil Wayne. Ethel worked in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Ethel leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Bonita (Gaston) Beachum, Lacretia Gaston and Latoya Gaston; sons, Bernard Gaston and Karl Gaston; grandchildren, Marquis Myers, Richard Gaston, Solomon Ball, Rashauna Ragland, Antoinette Cavitt, Tyree Gaston, Inesha Gaston, Alexxis Gaston, Laquan Gaston, Jazmin (Lance) Lawson, Jamal Lawson, Nicholas Gaston, and Brianna Gaston; sisters, Mary Smoot-Anderson, Peggy Daniels and Betty Jones; brother, James Gaston; son-in-law, Everett Lawson; special niece, Teresa Gaston; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Leslie L. Lawson; sister, Pauline Cook; brothers, Harvey Gaston, L.C. Gaston and Roy Lee Gaston; grandson, Everett Lawson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Ahloni Gaston and Adeya Gaston; niece, Sheila Gaston; and nephew, Roger Gaston. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at El Bethel Temple, 2049 Clifton Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Burial: Ferncliff Cemetery NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Ohio Governor and our city officials have set guidelines and procedures to follow during public gatherings of funeral services. These restrictions have been arranged with the family.
