Gloria Loretta Travis

November 8, 1969 — July 30, 2023

Gloria Loretta Travis, 53, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was born in Cincinnati on November 8, 1969 to Larry L. Travis and Marlene Gloria Travis. Gloria (Glo) was the baby of one sibling, her older brother, Henry Scott Kelley, (which means she was very spoiled...LOL).

Gloria went to Withrow High School where she participated in modeling, cheerleading, and a few other sports doing her free time up until 11th grade. She enjoyed going to church, to the park, and playing with friends from the neighborhood. Gloria was a very talented funny, outgoing, loving, and caring person. She was a woman of many different talents and a dog lover as well (boy did she treat her dogs like her children). Gloria was a very good cook and she loved to cook for her kids. She became a mother to her first child at the age of 18 and soon after had three more children.

She really enjoyed the company of her children and grandchildren; they are all goofy, funny, and loving just like her. Someone could say, "Hey Glo are those your kids?" She would look back at her kids and say, "Naw, those are my parents, I'm the child right now." LOL. Gloria was sooo funny, she'd laugh at herself. She enjoyed spending a lot of her time being surrounded by her family and friends. She was very well known in quite a few neighborhoods where she lived. She welcomed everyone with open arms, no matter if you were sad, upset, or having a bad day, she could put a smile on your face that you'd forget everything else. All the kids loved her.

Gloria leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted mother, Marlene Travis; two sons: Samuel Travis-Sanks, and Genate Larry Travis; two daughters: Iraa Raegean Sanks, and Gloria Teresa Travis-Sanks; 13 grandchildren: Jeremiah Travis, Elijah Travis, Karlee Sanks-Hill, Landon Williams, Jr., Ari Moore, Gia Williams, Samiyah Travis, Bre Travis, Laylah Travis, Samajae Travis, Julius Travis, Eli Travis, and Rhyleigh Travis; one brother, Henry Scott Kelley; and a host of wonderful family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Fannie; father, Larry; children's father, Jerry; and her grandson, Braylin.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2023 at James Temple COGIC (Annex Chapel), 1119 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206. Interment: Walnut Hills Cemetery.
