Minister Harold Thomas Taylor was born on November 5, 1980, in Cincinnati, OH to Harold Young and Mary Taylor. He was an avid sports fan, and truly loved his Alabama Crimson Tide and Pittsburgh Steelers football teams.
Harold was educated in the Cincinnati Public School system, graduating from Withrow High School in 1999. Later, he enrolled at ITT Technical Institute, graduating in 2005 with an Associate Degree in Computer Electronics Engineering Technology.
Harold worked for many years in the I.T. field, including holding positions at Lasik Plus, Pomeroy, Convergys, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, and most recently, Council on Aging. He was a beloved and dedicated worker, constantly going above and beyond to meet the needs of his fellow employees.
Harold was baptized in the Name of Jesus at Zion Bethel Missionary Temple and received the Gift of the Holy Ghost in 1992, under the pastorate of the late Pastor Melvin H. Godfrey, Sr. Over the years, Harold served in several ministries, and was later ordained as a deacon under the pastorate of Bishop Timothy Richardson, Sr. and New Apostolic Solid Praise Temple. In 2010, Harold joined New Jerusalem Apostolic Temple, where he was ordained as a minister under the pastorate of the late Bishop Frank Tolliver. Minister Harold also assisted greatly in the ministry of Grace Through Faith Community Church, under the pastorate of Bishop Melvin H. Godfrey, Jr., and Pastor Tonia Godfrey. In addition to ministering in the Word, Harold also aided greatly in outreach through the audio/visual ministry. During his final sermon in 2022, Minister Harold preached under the anointing about the steadfastness of God’s grace and mercy in healing his body through receiving a double lung transplant in 2018. While at New J., Harold rejoiced greatly at being able to baptize both his children and nephews in Jesus name. During his time in the ministry, Minister Harold touched many lives.
Harold was united in holy matrimony to Latasha Booker in February of 2010. To this union were born three children: Layla, Zion, and Kyrie. Harold’s family was his greatest joy, and he was devoted deeply to his wife and children.
