Harvey Lee Elston

Harvey Lee Elston, 64, peacefully departed this life Tuesday, October 9, 2018. He was born August 23, 1954 in Lincoln, Alabama to Leon Henry Truss and Catherine Elston / Catherine Truss. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973 and was an avid sports fan. Harvey played basketball and baseball in high school and throughout his life he loved sports. He was a fan of The Ohio State, The Alabama Crimson Tide and any professional team from Boston, Massachusetts. Harvey's loving memory is cherished by his son, Andr D. Jemison; granddaughter, SaMaria Jemison of Talladega, Alabama; sisters, Beverly Cosper, Cynthia Durrant and Eva Cosper all of Oxford, Alabama; Shirley Beard, LeeAnn Truss, and Diane Truss all of Springfield, Ohio; brothers, William Cosper of Springfield, Ohio and Stanley Cosper of Watertown, New York; great aunts, Emma Collins of Talladega, Alabama and Betty Carmichael of Hinesville, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Elston; father, Leon Henry Truss; step-mother, Catherine Truss; and sisters, Mary Elston and Stephanie Cosper. Viewing will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 in the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505.
