Howard Eugene Edley, Jr., 70, of Farmerstown, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born October 26, 1947 the son of Howard E. Edley, Sr. and Martha (Cunningham) Edley who preceded him in death. Howard was a graduate of Triad High School, served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict, was a long-time farmer and owner of Moriah Hay and Straw. He was an ordained minister through Spirit of Truth Ministry in Springfield, Ohio and conducted outreach mens ministries in Heath, Wilmington and Springfield. He is survived by his sons, Kelley (Beula) Edley of Vista, California, Gene of Nebraska and Jeremy of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Kaleb, Keenan, Kaela, Kaetlin, Jalen, Jevin, and Jeremy Jr.; great grandchildren, Anthony and Maleah; sisters, Barbara and Janet Edley of Columbus, Ohio and Julie "JJ" (Clayton) Underwood of Urbana, Ohio; sister-in-law, Linda (Clarence) Wilbanks of Georgia; and special cousin and prayer partner, Cindy Fite. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Martha (Scott) Edley, and his grandson, Jordan Edley. Howard loved living in Holmes County among his Amish friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018 at River of Life Christian Center, Urbana with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
