Jacquelyn Glenn Smoot

Jacquelyn (Jackie Glenn) Smoot, 57, expired unexpectedly in Springfield Regional Hospital Tuesday, October 16, 2018. She was born March 1, 1961 in Springfield, Ohio to Myrna (Hardiman) Embry and the late Charles Glenn. Jackie graduated from North High School, then attended The Ohio State University. She retired from Huntington Corporation after 28 years of service as a loan specialist. After meeting Kenny, the courtship grew into a marriage of 10 happy years, which Kenny is still happy to say they met in Aisle 1 at Krogers. During those years of marriage, Jackie joined Restored Life with her husband. Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenny R. Smoot; mother, Myrna Embry; mother-in-law, Mary Johnson; step-daughter, Jayona Strodes; step-sons, Kenny Jr. and Demetrius; brother, C. Leon (LaDonna) Glenn; sister-in-laws, Myra Threats and Louise Browning; brother-in-laws, Charles (Sonequa) Smoot and James (Laverne) Smoot, Billy Simmons, and Lawrence Simmons; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nieces that she loved and shared many loving moments: Monica Glenn, Stephanie Glenn, Alexis Glenn, and Trinity Rogan. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Restored Life Ministries, 1117 Innisfallen Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Final arrangements entrusted to the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
