James Kerry Bibbs, Sr.

James Kerry Bibbs, Sr., 84, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021at Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born in Alabama on March 15, 1937 to the union of John and Bessie Bibbs. Mr. Bibbs proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and retired from General Motors after 29 years. He was known to be very generous and fun-loving. Mr. Bibbs enjoyed reading, mentoring and spending time with family. He leaves to cherish his memory: four children, Carla, Jessica, Ellis, and Katherine; sister, Mary Simmons; brothers, Homer Bibbs and Leon Bibbs; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mr. Bibbs was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, A.J. Bibbs, Des Bibbs, Roy Bibbs, Sr., and John Bibbs; two sisters, Jonnie Lucielle May and Demarius Brandon; wife, Shelby Bibbs; and their five children, Charles, Bonnie, Ronnie, Gloria, and James, Jr. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2021 in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021 in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
