Jamil A. Laroda

Jamil Adryel Laroda, 11, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022. He was born September 1, 2011 to Danisha (Isaiah) Hawkins and Jerrell Laroda.

He had the most loving, humble soul. Jamil was an amazing son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He attended Mt. Airy Elementary School where he was completing the sixth grade. Jamil was a natural leader and teacher. He jumped in to help often without ever being asked. Jamil watched over his siblings. He continuously showed them love and affection. Jamil played on the tennis and baseball team (note: he loved tennis more!!).

Jamil loved spending time with family and going on family outings. He was not fond of the heat, so if the outing was outside in the heat too long Jamil would not be happy!! He loved going to the zoo and attending the Bird show. Jamil was a protector; he took up for those that were unable to stand up for themselves. Jamil loved Halloween and had already contemplated on what he would be this year for the holiday. Jamil was a Pokemon fanatic and he also loved playing video games and had and totally enjoyed Anime. Our loving Jamil will be greatly missed.

Jamil leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents, Danisha (Isaiah) Hawkins, and Jerrell Laroda; his siblings, Jazre’el Laroda, Israel Hawkins, Elijah Hawkins, Isaiah Hawkins, Jr., and Ketura Hawkins; grandparents: Sonya Flowers, Kenneth Flowers, John and Tammy Blythe; aunts and uncles: Shayuna Squires, Keyashia Green, Aveed Hawkins, Dale Crumsy, and Jorhon Bell; and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM with service to follow at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 30, 2022 at Crossroads Church Oakley, 3500 Madison Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209. Interment: Spring Grove Cemetery.
