Jessicia N. Buford

February 6, 1984 — June 15, 2024

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing." ( 2 Timothy 4:7-8 )

Jessicia Nicole Buford, 40, of Springfield, Ohio was called to her heavenly rest on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Miami Valley Medical Center. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on February 6, 1984, the daughter of Virgil Craig (Lori) Perrin and Cynthia Buford (Edwin) Scott.

She graduated from the Dayton Public School System and attended the Center of Redemption Apostolic Church in Springfield, Ohio. Jessicia suffered with acute Sickle Cell Anemia which kept her in and out of the hospital during the course of her life. Despite her chronic pain and suffering, she was full of life and laughter. Jessicia had a kind heart with a warm and funny personality. She enjoyed being with family and friends. Jessicia enjoyed babysitting, doing nails, and had a desire to write her memoirs. Born with Acute Sickle Cell Anemia, daily living was not easy for Jessicia. However, she fought long and hard with her condition eventually succumbing to it. Jessicia was a young woman of GOD who believed in JESUS as her Savior and LORD until her last breath. She befriended everyone she met; her son and family meant everything to her.

Jessicia leaves to cherish her memory: her 15 year old son, Jezuriah Price of Fairborn, Ohio; mother and stepfather, Cynthia (Buford) Scott and Edwin Scott of Columbus, Ohio; father Virgil Craig (Lori) Perrin of Springfield, Ohio; stepfathers, Phillip Smith of Fairborn, Ohio, and Charles Beavers II of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Adrienne Clark of Dayton, Ohio, and Delorienne Perrin of Columbus, Ohio; and three brothers, Charles E. Beavers III of Dayton, Ohio, DaJuan Perrin, and Marwan Perrin both of Columbus, Ohio; grandmother, Apostle Angela D. Buford of Springfield, Ohio; three aunts, Kendra L. Cobb, Elder Lisa A. Buford, and Carla Perrin all of Springfield, Ohio; uncles, Kerry (Kim) Perrin of Columbus, Ohio, Keith Perrin of Dallas, Texas, and Curtis (Tammy) Perrin of Springfield, Ohio; one niece, Lauryn Booker of Dayton, Ohio; one nephew, Jayden Clark of Columbus, Ohio; and numerous cousins, extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her nephew, Maxwell Booker; paternal grandparents, Virgil S. and Margaret (Peterson) Perrin; grandfather, the Reverend Raymond Buford Jr.; aunt, Patricia Graves; and uncles, the Reverend Robert E. Buford and Timothy LaMar Buford; and cousin, William R. Stone.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Center of Redemption, 1001 W. Perrin Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45506.
