John Robert Thomas, Jr.

Mr. John 'Bubba' Thomas, Jr., age 67, passed from this life on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at 8:30 pm at his residence in Dayton, OH. He was born on March 3, 1951 in Knoxville, TN to the union of John R. and Sallie Thomas, Sr. Both parents preceded him in death. He was a United States Marine and retired Truck Driver. He was a born again Christian who loved the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory: three daughters, LaTrina Nicole Thompson of Atlanta, GA, Shaconii Abraham of Keller, TX, his shining star Ashley Jackson of Toledo, OH; one son, Robert Louis Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN; one sister, Sally (Melvin) Williams of Lima, OH; brothers, Nathaniel (Gladys) Bozeman of Akron, OH and Angelo Prevoe of Lima, OH; special nieces, Teresa Ann Williams of Lima, OH, Angel Marie Thompson of Dayton, OH, and Christinea Ann Turner of Lima, OH; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four sisters; Christine Thomas, Patricia Ann Thomas, Emma Simmons, and Wilma Moore; and three brothers, Tom Bozeman, Johnnie Bozeman and Alexander Thomas. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Grace Church Worldwide Ministries in Lima, OH. Burial will take place at the Dayton National Cemetery. Final arrangements entrusted to the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
