Karen P. Wheeland

Karen Patricia Wheeland, 67, of Urbana, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. She was born on August 18, 1957.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Karen's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew her. Her bond with her family was a source of strength and joy in her life.

An avid pool player, Karen spent many happy hours at Sidetrax Bar, where her competitive spirit and camaraderie created lasting memories. She was also a passionate lover of animals, particularly lions and dolphins, embodying a fierce appreciation for the beauty of nature.

Karen leaves to cherish her memory: two children, Michael Wheeland (Kristina) and Joshua Swafford (Kirby); four cherished grandchildren: Michael Wheeland, Karra Wheeland, Jocelyn Swafford, and Tanner Swafford; her siblings: Kevin Cork, Kathy Lowe, Keith (Marcia) Cork, and Kenny (Caroline) Young; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, George Edward Cork and Therese Agatha Young.

Karen's warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
