Kenneth Jamison, 70, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018. He was born on October 18, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio at General Hospital to Mae Dorsey and John Lee Jamison. He was baptized at an early age by Counsel Harris at Gaines Church on Desmond St. Kenny attended Madisonville Elementary, Lyons Jr. High and Withrow High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1968, and frequently shared fond memories from when he was stationed in Germany. After he was honorably discharged in 1974, he worked at Keebler and later became a computer technician. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his abundant family and absolutely love his horse races. Kenny and his wife Dolly met in 1976 and it was love at first sight. After years of courtship, they made their union official on April 29, 1989 and enjoyed 29 years of wedded bliss. Kenny and Dolly discovered their love for Gatlinburg on their honeymoon and vacationed there every year. They shared a passion for cooking and hosting family gatherings nearly every holiday. Kenny was infamous for his skills on the grill and his delicious, homemade barbeque sauce. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Dolly; mother, Mae Dorsey (Dottie); sisters, Anita Burton, Leora (Willie) Waller, and Charlene Benna; brother, Rick; son, Eric Wilborn; daughters, Lori Wilborn, Laressa (Anthony) Hill, Stefani Leavell, Jenifer (Phillip) Brown, Crystal (Charles) Wynn, Tiffan Stephens, Tillina Whitehead, Damien Diop, Brittany, Shiana and Kiynia Jamison; nieces, Damon Burton and Nessa (Andre) Davis; nephews, Alex Waller, Benjamin (Adrienne) Boner and Nathan (Ashley) Waller; twenty-five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Jamison, his sister Lillie Ramsey, and his nephew, Curtis Burton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at New Mission Missionary Baptist Church, 4809 Ravenna St, Cincinnati, Ohio 45227 with visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Final arrangements entrusted to the care of the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home.
