Lametra Lea Boseman

April 27, 1959 — November 23, 2020

Lametra Lea Lacy Boseman, 61, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 due to complications of pneumonia and cancer. Better known as "Meechie", she was born April 27, 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Naomi Scott, who was the birth mother, but adopted and raised by her mother, Roxie Ann Lacy Whitson. Meechie attended Cincinnati Public Schools. In 1975 at the age of 16, she married her first husband, Charles Irvin. The marriage didn't last that long, but he was her teenage love. She then pursued her Certificate in Nursing Assistant doing some work in the medical field. Some time after that, Meechie met Tommie Scott from which her one and only child, Victoria Scott, was born in 1978. As time went on, a new relationship kindled when she met her soulmate, Charles Rick Boseman, who later became her husband in 1985. She was a hoot. Google her name Meechie in the Urban Dictionary and it is truly a perfect fit: A person with a quick cleaver mind and good sense of humor who is your best friend, your ride or die. Meechie would go out of her way to protect the one that's closest to her. When Meechie walked into the room, she surely turned heads, whether it be from her radiant gray streak in her hair, her smile or looking good from head to toe. Those who knew her know what I mean. When she was in the room, you knew it was going to be a great time. Meechie was the life of the party and didn't take no mess from anybody. Meechie loved music, books, clothes, accessories, sleep, and most of all food or her snacks. She did have a sweet tooth. Lametra leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Rick Boseman; her only child, Victoria Scott; son-in-law, Fredrick Noland; two grandchildren, Dezaree' Noland and Dez'Mand Noland; brother, Terri Scott (Monica); sister-in-laws, Jeanette Lewis and Isabel Harrison; and two brother-in-laws; three nieces, Renita, Marquita and Mariya; four nephews, Marcus, Anwar, Nathaniel, and Elliot; closest friends who were her ride or dies, Beverly and Ervon; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lametra is now resting in heaven with her mothers, Roxie Lacy and Naomi Scott; her brother, Raymond Bradford; and sister, Antonett Scott.

God's Garden

You are not forgotton, Nor will you ever be; As long as life memories last, We will always remember thee. A million times we will miss you; A million times we will cry. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life we all loved you dearly; In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, No other one can fill. The golden gates stood open; God saw you needed rest. God's garden must be beautiful, For he always picks the best.
