Landon Blake "Buzzie" Sutton, 40, of Cincinnati, Ohio departed this life on Sunday, May 28, 2023. He was born in Cincinnati to the late Robert Whorton and Celeste Sutton.
He was the only child between his parents and grew up in Madisonville where he was loved by so many. Landon was baptized at an early age at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. He attended Withrow High School.
Landon was truly one of a kind, a real Madisonville legend. His family knew him as “Buzzie”, but he was also known as “Big L”, “Fat Mack”, and “Macaroni Tony”. Landon loved to cook, talk his talk, spend time with his family & friends, and most importantly put that drip on. In Buzzie’s words, he was “FAT BOY FRESH”! It was never a day when he wasn’t fat boy fresh. His smile, his voice, his big teddy bear hugs, and overall, just his presence will be missed tremendously. From Landon cracking jokes to making business plans, he was always the one you could count on.
Those left to remember and keep Landon’s memory alive: his siblings: Carmelisa Hannah (Nathaniel, Sr.), Demetrius Brockman (Iantha), Duwane Brockman (Rena), Raegan Wilson, and Ricardo McDaniel; aunts, Michele Hicks (Ralph), Kariss Sutton, and Stella Dunson; uncles, Jerry Sutton (Rosemarie), Skip Whorton, and Shaun Hill; nephews and nieces: Jordan, Nathaniel, Jr., Elijah, Danarius, Sr., Dominique, Kyree, Shakira, Cassandra, Kennedi, Kingston, Kace, and Karson; first cousins: Carlin Manuel (Keesha), Kevin Jones, Sr. (Juana), Kristian Young, Jerri Sutton, Taylor Lowry (Matthew), Sharla Dunson, Nate Dunson, and Nathaniel Dunson; godparents, Mary Jo Williams and Winston Croley (cousin); and a host of other family members and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lena Huguely-Sutton, Carl Sutton, Jr., Helena Whorton, and Sylvester Whorton; parents, Robert Whorton and Celeste Sutton; uncle, Charles Whorton; and niece, Erica.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Corinthian Baptist Church, 1920 Tennessee Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237. Interment: Spring Grove Cemetery.
