Larry E. Wilson

Larry Eugene Wilson, 77, of Springfield, Ohio transitioned from this life Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born in Springfield on December 25, 1943, the son of the late Alfred and Mary (Gordan) Wilson. He was a graduate of Springfield South High School. After graduation, Larry went on to serve in the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge. He retired from Wittenberg University as the head custodian. Larry enjoyed watching National Geographic and sport events. Larry leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Joyce L. Wilson; daughters, Regina Wilson (Randy Stephens), Debra Wilson (Dennis Hunley), and daughter-in-law, Kristi Jennings, all of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren: Monique, Lekesha, Cindy, Kyra, Summer, Baby Gaylen, Ty, Tonay, Tylik, Chyna, Glen Williams, and a host of great-grandchildren; special nephews, Vaughn Hutchins, Tyrone Jones and Tony Jones; special friend, Greg Cooper; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Gaylen Wilson; two sisters, Peggy Laverne Jones and Mary Francis Harris; two grandchildren, Eric Cole and Lashira Wilson; niece, Jamie Harris; and special friend, Michael Cobb. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 in Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
