Leon Eugene White, Sr., 62, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was born in Springfield on April 6, 1962 to Vernon Russell White, Sr. of Yellow Springs, Ohio and Ruth Tolliver of Springfield, Ohio.
He lived in Los Angeles, California until he was four years old. Leon moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he went to school and married Robin Weatherall. He then moved to South Carolina for a few years before moving back to Springfield where he lived until his death. Leon was self-employed.
Lean leaves to cherish his memory: his mother and stepfather, Ruth and Douglas Davis; three brothers, Kevin Tolliver of Houston, Texas, Aaron White, and Carl Davis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; one sister, Veronica White-Jackson of Houston, Texas; four children: Takisha White, Leon White, Jr., Anisha White of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Zantrell White of Springfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren: Lamar White-Jones, Monica White, Delon Zollicoffer-White, Leon Zollicoffer-White, Keonna White, Fred Ramsey, Jr., Aiden Ramsey, and Noah White; great-grandchild, Za’Mir White of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; aunt, Sheila Allen of California; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews; and special friends, Amanda Phillips, and Melanie Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon R. White, Sr.; brother, Vernon R. White, Jr.; grandmother, Maxine Tolliver-Turner; grandfather, Lawrence Woods; and great-grandparents, Wash and Jessie Woods.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, that any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all; just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
