Leon Wells, 63, departed this life on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born July 13, 1955 to John L. and Lillie M. Wells in Springfield, Ohio. A graduate of Springfield South High School, he loved to fish and play the guitar. Leon was a very kind-hearted and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Leon leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Myron (Brittani) Wells of Springfield, Ohio, and Joseph (Janice) Wells of Killeen, Texas; one brother, Robert Wells of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Rosetta Kelly of Dayton, Ohio, Doris (Darrell) Pettiford of Ellenwood, Georgia, Cheryl (Dwight) Roe, Sr. of Springfield, Ohio, and Ruby Wells of Sacramento, California; seven grandchildren; one aunt, Julia (Johnny B.) Brooks of Brooksville, Mississippi; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lillie P. Roberts. Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 E High St, Springfield, Ohio 45505 with memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
