Leroy Terry Mays, 70, of Springfield, Ohio passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2020. He was born December 7, 1949 in Springfield a son of Clayton and Ruth (Elder) Mays. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. Terry leaves to cherish his memory: son, Stephen (Shannon) Thompson; six grandchildren; thirty two great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Eugene Mays and Clifford Mays; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruth Crowe; brothers, John Fleetwood, Nate Fleetwood and Calvin May. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of Memorial service at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2020 in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Ohio Governor and our city officials have set guidelines and procedures to follow during public gatherings of funeral services. These restrictions have been arranged with the family. Please allow the family to have their private time during the services being held at 12:30 p.m. A larger gathering may be held at a future date (to be announced) at the discretion of the family.
