Linda King, 77, of Xenia, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She was born June 3, 1946 to Carl L. Larch and Janet L. Craig (nee Knisley).
She was a mother to 5 children. Linda worked in transportation with the Waynesville Local Schools as a bus driver in her younger years. She pursued her dream of becoming a nurse and spent the rest of her career providing care for seniors and mentoring new nurses. Linda graduated from Clark Tech in Springfield, Ohio with her LPN, and spent her career working at Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She loved her work family and helping to grow the careers of many nurses over the years. Friends is also the community she chose to provide her care at the end of her life.
Linda leaves to cherish her memory: her 5 children: Jeffrey E. Larch, Gayle E. Broadie (Wes), Zondra M. Compton (Aaron), Jackie L. McCollum, and Joshua P. Bagford (Lisa); her brother, Richard Larch (Teri); sister, Marsha Hawkins (Douglas); 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stephen; sister, Susan; and her spouse, John P. King Jr.
Her final resting place will be with her husband at the VA Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
