Louis Walls

Louis Walls, 87, of Springfield, Ohio was called home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Southbrook Care Center. He was born September 20, 1932 to Edward Walls and Myrtle (Carr) Walls in Springfield, Ohio the last of eleven children. He graduated from Springfield South High School. Louis was employed at Credit Life and was the owner and operator of Lewe’s Hair Care Center as a licensed cosmetologist. He was a longtime member of House of Prayer in Springfield, Ohio. Louis also served his country in the United States Navy and he loved to sew. Louis leaves to cherish his memory two children he loved: daughter, Karen (Jesse) Bray; son, Robair (Youletta) Walls; grandchildren, Keesha (Corey) Melton of Huber Heights, Ohio, Bianca Carson of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert Carson of Springfield, Ohio, and Jason Carson Springfield, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jonathan II (Breanna) Carson, and Kristiana, Josiah and Hannah Melton; great-great-grandchildren, Jonathan III, Joniyah and Jacelyn; sister-in-law, Martha Walls; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Rebecca P. Walls; his parents; brothers, Joseph Walls, David Walls, James Walls, Bobby Walls, Elder Samuel Walls, and Bishop Lawyer Walls; sisters, Elizabeth Oliver, Hazel Warfield, Ruth Davis, and Patty Walls Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Ferncliff Cemetery. NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Ohio Governor and our city officials have set guidelines and procedures to follow during public gatherings of funeral services. These restrictions have been arranged with the family. Please allow the family to have their private time during the services being held at 1:00 p.m. A larger gathering may be held at a future date (to be announced) at the discretion of the family.
