Maia Jai Givens-Hasan gained her wings to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2019. She was born October 29, 2018 to Iesha Raeshele Givens and Marcus Jamal Hasan in Dayton, Ohio at Miami Valley Hospital. She came into this world at 4 pounds 13 oz full of life and curiosity, head of brown hair and soft brown eyes. Maia lived her life on a love frequency, full of smiles and a soul that is golden. Maia leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Iesha Givens; father, Marcus Hasan; sister, Alona Raeshele Givens; maternal grandparents, Hope Givens, Chris Crochran, Hugh Jr. and Tanya Givens; paternal grandparents, Nafeesa and Don Washington, Cedric and Anisha Savery; maternal great-grandparents, Terri and Lawrence Strodes, Sharon and Hugh Givens Sr.; paternal great-grandparent, Gailen Hasan; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505 with Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery.
