Marc Allen Evans

Marc "Marques" Allen Evans, 65, of Springfield, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2020 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was born February 12, 1955 to Elbert and Esther Evans in Springfield, Ohio. He graduated from Springfield South High School and attended Central State University, majoring in Engineering, before joining the United States Army. Marques leaves to cherish his memory: son, Brandon January of California; sisters, Terri (Lawrence) Strodes, Beth Evans, Toni Beard, Treva Evans, Kathy Evans, and Danielle Evans; nieces, Hope Givens, Fanta Avery, Tasha Erwin Johnson, Kendra Strodes, Latonda Griffey, and Taylor Whitaker Thompson; two nephews, Armon Evans and Saluki Evans; maternal uncle, Robert (Gloria) Portis; two paternal uncles, Deacon William (Annette) Evans, and Vernon (Tracy) Evans; and a host of family, friends and Veteran family. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Marc Allen Smith; sister, Patricia Ann Evans; two brothers, Darryl E. Evans and Melvin L. Buford; and nephew, Marlon A. "Tony" Avery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at El Bethel Temple, 2049 Clifton Ave, Springfield, Ohio 45505. Burial to follow in Dayton National Cemetery.
