Marty J. Borden, Jr.

Marty John Borden, Jr., 23, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born on February 21, 2001 to Marty John Borden, Sr. and Jennifer West Borden.

He lived life with intensity and passion, embracing every moment to the fullest. Marty had a deep, unwavering love for his family, and his affection for them was limitless—Marty cherished them with all of his heart and soul. He had big dreams of becoming a respected and admired rap artist, and Marty poured his soul into his music, using it as a means to express his innermost thoughts and emotions. His three children, Italy Borden, Ma'Vier Borden, and Baby Zay, were the center of his world, and he dedicated much of his life to them, always striving to be the best father he could be.

Marty leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved mother, Jennifer West Borden; siblings, Ja'Marta Borden, Marte'ya Borden, and Marquia Borden; his father, Marty John Borden, Sr.; siblings: Myaire Borden, Myzhan Borden, Marzhyiah Borden, Brooklyn Cross, and Deon'ta Powers; aunt, Lisa West; uncles: Dewayne West, Dominick Ligon, Nick Ligon, and Rico Ligon; his girlfriend, Katherine Bradley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie and Lindy Borden; grandmother, Madeline West; aunt/grandmother, Marlette Varner; uncles, Marcus Borden and Marquis Borden; and cousin, Keion Bernette, Jr.

Though his time with us was far too short, Marty’s spirit will live on through the love he gave, the music he created, and the memories he leaves behind.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at James Temple COGIC, 1116 Lincoln Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206. Interment: Walnut Hills Cemetery.
