Michael Anthony Stephens, Jr.

Michael Anthony Stephens, Jr., 38, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019. He was born May 6, 1981 at the Bethesda Oak Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to Michael Anthony Stephens, Sr. and Paula Dupree Stephens. He attended Aiken High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and graduated in 1999. Michael went on to become a correctional officer for the Hamilton County Justice Center. In seeking his life calling, Michael also worked three years for Meyer Dairy later known as Dairyman. Afterwards, he found his passion in life and began a career with the Cincinnati Board of Education at Roll Hill Elementary School where he helped inspire and influence many of the students, parents and school officials. Michael was respected and loved during his time at Roll Hill and the family would like to commend the school for their outstanding support. He was also an amazing father, husband, brother, cousin, friend, and companion. Michael truly loved and relished his family. Michael leaves to cherish his memory: wife of eight years, Mavis Jamia Foster-Stephens; father, Michael Anthony Stephens, Sr.; mother, Paula Dupree Stephens (Daryl Triblett); sister, Joequita Michelle (Thomas) Craddock; sons, Mykavien Savon Stephens, Michael Anthony Stephens III, Miles Joseph Stephens, and Kane Huerte Mazion; daughter, JaMia Paige Foster-Mazion; granddaughter, JaMyra Chanel Stearns; grandparents, Hattie Faye Stephens and Julius C. Stephens; niece, Thomi-jo Craddock; nephew, Thomas Craddock; and a host of loving aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2019 in the Greater New Light Baptist Church, 710 North Fred Shuttlesworth Circle, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229.
