Michael Drew Walker

Michael Drew Walker, 59, departed this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born June 5, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Helen Walker and Henry Calhoun. He grew up in the West End and attended Heberle Elementary, Bloom Junior High and Western Hills High School. As an adult he joined House of Hope Fellowship Church where he was baptized. Michael was well-known in the West End community. He was very outgoing and loved to have a good time. He loved to dance, you could often see his moves down at Washington Park. He loved to sing karaoke down at Main Event on Main Street. Michael loved his hair, you could point his freshly done finger waves out in a crowd. Most importantly, Michael loved his family. If you were his friend, he considered you his family. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family. Michael was loved and will be missed by many! Michael leaves to cherish his memory: three brothers, John Walker, Henry Calhoun (Reiko) and Johnny Calhoun; three sisters, Allie Lavizzo, Sharon Walker (Jerry) and Brandy Flantoill; one god-daughter, Tiffany Richardson; best friends, Davenna Richardson, Piper Brown, Corline Stone and Harriet Johnson; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Walker; father, Henry Calhoun; three siblings, Dwight Calhoun, Rosalind Anese Curd and Terrance Walker. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at House of Hope Fellowship Church, 1829 Elm St, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202. Interment will be held Monday, March 16, 2020 at Vine Street Hill Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the care of KINLEY Funeral Home.
