Michael Duwayne Stapleton

Michael D. Stapleton, 59, of Union City, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the IU Ball Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born September 24, 1958 in Union City, Indiana to the late Palmer and Joyce Stapleton. Michael enjoyed fishing, Nascar, and being with his family and friends. Survivors include his daughter, Shawnnasee Marie Stapleton of Union City, Indiana; one brother, Jeffrey Stapleton of Union City, Indiana; three sisters, Pamela Potokar of Winchester, Indiana; Lisa (Kenny) Downing of Farmland, Indiana; Robin (Jeff) Spence of Union City, Indiana; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Palmer Stapleton, on March 24, 2015 and his mother, Joyce Stapleton, on June 23, 2016. There will be a Celebration of Life held at the Freedom of Life Church, 991 East Greenville Pike, Winchester, Indiana 47394 on May 6, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for family and friends with Reverend Jeff Bullard officiating.
