Nicole M. Chambers

Nicole Marie (Ervin) Chambers, 50, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed peacefully in the company of her family on Monday, June 14, 2021. She was born October 4, 1970 to Gertrude Carter and Charles Ervin. Just like the rest of the family, she grew up in the pews of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and gave her life to Christ at an early age. She graduated from Withrow High School in 1988. A quiet strength, Nicole was a scholar there and a member of the Drill Team. She also participated in a sorority. From Withrow, Nicole went to the University of Cincinnati, majoring in Business Administration. She then left UC and went to Southern Ohio University where she received her Nursing degree in 1992. Nicole married Latonio Chambers, Sr. on October 1, 1994 and to this union their son, Latonio Chambers, Jr. and daughter, Lamaya Chambers, were born. Her family meant the world to Nicole and she made sure she didn’t miss a game or school event. She worked for Dr. Kent Robinson, as an intern, and then was employed full time, as a medical assistant, after she graduated from Nursing school. Nicole then worked for UC Physicians as a Senior Medical Assistant. She served there for the past 16 years until her health began to decline. Nicole leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Latonio Chambers, Sr.; children, Latonio (Jill) Chambers, Jr. and Lamaya Chambers; mother, Gertrude Carter; grandfather, Deacon James Carter, Sr.; siblings, Dante Ervin, Charles “Gary” Ervin, Jr., and Saunja Price; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends. Nicole “Nickie” will forever be remembered by her family and close friends as a loving and supportive wife, daughter and mom, committed and faithful worker whose smile lit up every room she was in. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Spring Grove Cemetery (Norman Chapel), 4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
