Pamela Lavora Nickles

January 5, 1950 — August 24, 2021

Pamela Lavora Nickles was born on January 5, 1950, to the late and Honorable Bishop Dr. Alfred H. and Bernice Nickles. She was the eldest of five children born to Bishop and Mother Nickles; two have preceded her in death, Alfred Barry Nickles and Jacqueline R. Foggie. At an early age, Pamela was baptized in the name of Jesus, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost under the tutelage of her father, Bishop Dr. Alfred H. Nickles. She obtained her high school diploma from Withrow High school in 1968. Later, Pam attended college and worked various jobs in the city. She was very fond of her many nieces and nephews, and was affectionally known as “Auntie” and “The Warden” among her family and friends. Pamela was passionate about her family members, and she loved to help anyone in need. Pamela was not afraid of the outdoors. She had a heart for God’s creatures, from dogs to cats, and would often try to find any stray animal an ideal home that would care for it. On June 19, 1971, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Alphonso Peoples, Jr. In their spare time together, they would remodel, decorate, and paint houses. Pamela departed from this life on August 24, 2021, at 6:20 p.m. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her sister, Marsha Lynn Nickles Nowell; her brother, La Morris Quintin Nickles (Camilla); a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; and her best friend, Gereen Johnson. Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 at New Jerusalem Apostolic Temple, 4019 Gilmore Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45209. Elder Eric J. Hollie, Officiant.
