Phillip K. Hughes

Phillip Kinta Hughes (Phil-Phil aka T), 42, of Springfield, Ohio, unexpectedly departed this life and entered the arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 23, 2022. He was born in Springfield on May 19, 1979, to Pamela Hughes-White and Floyd Harding. Phillip was the baby boy of three children. He resided in Columbus, Ohio where he did janitorial work. Phillip enjoyed bowling, basketball, football; and most of all, spending time with his three boys. You truly had to know him. He was a straightforward guy who spoke exactly what he felt at that moment. Phillip has been a blessing in so many ways. He was a great father, uncle and brother. To know him is to love him!! Phillip leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved boys, Malik Hughes (his dad's twin), Johnny Weber, and Phillip Williamson; mother, Pamela Hughes-White; loving sister, Shonda Walker and brother-in-law, Samuel Walker; loving brother, Jonathan Hughes and sister-in-law, Arita Hughes; loving grandmother, Carrie Johnson (Bigmom); loving aunts, Bridgett Johnson, and Sharon Faulkner; loving nieces, Tinequa Jones, Asya Hughes, Talaya Hughes, and Jaliah Alexander; loving nephews, Khalif Hughes, and Zion Hughes; his one and only great-niece, Amiyah Fleming; special niece, Xiomara Jones; special friend, Sheena Williamson; and a host of beloved cousins and fellas that loved him dearly. Phil's final gift: He left behind a special gift for someone so another may walk, may talk, and may see. Where their life was locked, he offered a key. We donated his liver to someone in need—Phil's final deed. Although he’s gone physically, he will never be forgotten and his legacy will continue to live on. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2022 in the Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High St., Springfield, Ohio 45505.
