Portia L. Davis

Portia L. Davis, 69, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was born September 20, 1949 to Waldo W. Beaver and Anne L. (Fales) Beaver in Copperhill, Tennessee. She was a 4H adviser for many years, a member of the Pleasant Township Ladies Auxiliary and Moose Lodge Chapter #698. On July 22, 2018 Portia and Howard Davis celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Portia leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Howard C. Davis; daughters, Melissa J. Layne (Brent A. Persinger) and Dawn M. Ferguson (Howard Dean Ferguson); grandchildren, Terry and Theresa Miller, Anthony J. and Robyn Miller, Crystal (Gilbert) Dela Cruz, Cody Frey, Jolynn Stoops, Shelby Stoops, Tabitha Belford (Cody Roseberry), Sierra Belford, Breanne Lindsey, Michael Lindsey, and Christopher Lindsey; great grandchildren, Mikaila Miller, Alexander Miller, Emmett Miller, Lilie Miller, Elijah Dela Cruz, Javaih Lindsey, and Annabelle Lindsey; sisters, Nancy (Chuck) Denbo and Sherri Jordan; sister-in-law, Ann Beaver; brother, Kerry Beaver; and a host of cousins, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roger Beaver and Wally Beaver; and sister, Laura Yearby. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, July 12, 2019 in the Jerry W. Kinley Funeral Home Chapel, 1307 East High Street, Springfield, Ohio 45505 with Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be held in McConkey Cemetery in Catawba, Ohio.
