Richard Lee Belle

Richard Lee Belle, 14, of Springfield, Ohio left his temporary home on Sunday, December 17, 2023, to be met by his loved ones in his eternal resting place. He was born in Springfield on June 22, 2009 a son of Melvin and Michelle Belle.

He was a kind, genuine, caring, and a loving soul. Richard was fun, goofy and made everyone around him laugh. A special memory that will be cherished by his loved ones is riding around in the car, yelling at random people. In Richard's voice yell “heerr, heerr.” He truly enjoyed life. He enjoyed being with his family, especially his brothers who were his best friends. He was a defender and protector of all. To know Richard was a true honor as he will leave a special mark on our hearts forever. He loved music; he would listen to it from sunup to sundown. Richard enjoyed tinkering with his minibikes and riding them. One would say he is a jack of all trades. He was always fixing things around the house. Richard would work for M & M Tree and Mulch. He was one of the hardest working kids you would ever meet. Most would say he ran circles around grown men. Richard’s father would teach him the basic principles of life, but the most important, was how to treat a lady. Richard was a true gentleman with a soft spot for the special women in his life. The only exception to this was that he would not share any of his Nutella sticks, that was out of the question, even if it was someone special.

Richard will greatly be missed; his contagious smile will forever be remembered. His legacy will be carried on by his parents Michelle and Melvin Belle; brothers, Charles Anderson, Malik Franklin, Jr., and Hayden Belle; sister, Jailynn Parker; special second parents, Lacie and Jeff; special second siblings, Julisa (God mom) and Donnie; great-grandfather, Richard Belle, Sr.; grandparents, Emma Wallace, and Jowana Belle; special second grandparents, Doug and Julie; aunts: Deborah Nichols, Erica (Kandace) Morris, Melanie Ramey, and special aunt Tracey; uncles: Tom Mollett, Mike Mollett, Aaron (Kameo) Belle, and Rayvonn Bell; and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Belle, Jr.; paternal grandfather, Melvin L. Belle; maternal grandparents, Roy (Irene) Mollett, Richard (Doris) Banks-Wallace, and Richard Wallace, Jr.; paternal great-grandparents, Josephine Belle and Robert (Maxine) Miller; aunt, Kristy Parker; and cousin, Schuyler Mollett.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Greater Grace Temple, 380 West Leffel Lane, Springfield, Ohio 45506. Interment: Ferncliff Cemetery.
